Karpoori Thakur had served two terms as the 11th Chief Minister of Bihar. 1st from December 1970 to June 1971 and 2nd from April 1977 to 1979. Career

Karpoori Thakur was influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and Satyanarayan Sinha. At his early age and because of that, he had joined the All India Federation. Karpoori Thakur had left his college. And joined the Quit India Movement and also for his participation in The Indian Independence Movement. And because of that Karpoori Thakur spent 26 months in prison.

He had been leading P and T employees during the general strike of the Central government employees. In 1960 and because of that, he was arrested. Advocated for land reforms and social justice. And Opposed the Congress government’s policies. He led protests and movements for the rights of farmers, laborers, and the underprivileged. And because of these things, he had loved by people. Introduced land reforms, including the abolition of the zamindari system. – Increased minimum wages for agricultural workers. And Expanded primary education and healthcare initiatives. And Implemented the prohibition of alcohol in Bihar. And Organized protests and agitations against various government policies.
