Karpoori Thakur was influenced by Mahatma Gandhi and Satyanarayan Sinha. At his early age and because of that, he had joined the All India Federation. Karpoori Thakur had left his college. And joined the Quit India Movement and also for his participation in The Indian Independence Movement. And because of that Karpoori Thakur spent 26 months in prison.
He had been leading P and T employees during the general strike of the Central government employees. In 1960 and because of that, he was arrested. Advocated for land reforms and social justice. And Opposed the Congress government’s policies. He led protests and movements for the rights of farmers, laborers, and the underprivileged. And because of these things, he had loved by people.
