Hartnett was raised by his father and his stepmother, Molly (by profession, she is an Artist). Hartnett has done his schooling from Nativity of Our Lord Catholic School. Josh Hartnett was a good football player when he was at Minneapolis South High School. He loved to play football but he had to face an injury. And because of that injury, he had forced out of the team at the age of 16.
Josh Hartnett wants to become an Artist. However, he had gained interest in acting while working in a Video Rental Shop. He has done his graduation from High School in 1996 and moved to New York State. There he had attended the Conservatory of Threat Arts & Flims at the State University of New York at purchase.
