Early-life
Raj Shrikant Thackeray was born on June 14, 1968, in Mumbai, Maharashtra (India). In his early childhood, he had learned to play Tabla, Guitar, and Violin. Later on, he has done his graduation from Mumbai’s Sir J. Institute Of Applied Art. In his college life, Raj joined Mamik, the weekly magazine of Balasaheb Thackeray as a cartoonist.

Career
Raj Thackeray started his political career by launching the student wing of Shiv Sena called Bhartiya Vidyarthi Sena. Later on, Raj came to prominence during the campaign for the 1990 Maharashtra Assembly Campaign. Later on in the 1990s, Raj believed himself to be the heir of his uncle Balasaheb. But Balasaheb, strongly preferred his son, Uddhav. Later on, on November 27, 2005, Raj resigned from Shiv Sena. In that party, he has announced to start a new political party. On March 9, 2006, Raj Thackeray founded Maharashtra Navnirman Sena.
