Career
James Tarkowski in May 2009, got a Scholarship at Oldham Athletics Club and there he joined League One. In October 2009, he made his reserve-team debut. And because of his performance, he was called up. He played for the first time in a league match versus Plymouth Argyle on January 15, 2011. James made his first Latics start in a 1-0 defeat to Leyton Orient on March 12 and played the full match 90 min. James Tarkowski had awarded a two-year professional contract by the club in May 2011. He made 9 appearances during the second half of the 2010-11 seasons.
James had started playing as his first center-back in the 2012-13 season. He scored the first goal of the season in a 2-0 league win over Crewe Alexandra on October 2, 2012. Tarkowski played a part in Oldham’s run in the fifth round of the FA Cup. and played the first-round win against the Conference Premier team.
Tarkowski began the 2013-14 season, with a bang scoring. And because of his performance, he was picked by the Latics supporters as the player of the month for August 2013. James has done a lot of hard work and practice and because of that, he made 89 appearances during the time of Latics.
