Anuradha Paudwal was born on October 27, 1954, at Karwar, in Karnataka India. She was born as Alka Nadkarni in the Marathi-speaking Family. Anuradha Paudwal had done her schooling from Mumbai, Maharastra. Later on, She got married to Arun Paudwal. They had a son and a Daughter and her son Aditya died because of Kidney Failure. Anuradha Paudwal honored with the degree of D.Litt. bt D Y Patil University. And became the second singer to get this degree after Lata Mangeshkar. She had survived a Helicopter Crash.

Career

Before entering Bollywood she had sung in a Radio program. Later on, in 1973, she started her music career from Abhiman where she had sung the Sanskrit Version of Jaya Bhaduri. In the 1970’s she sang a lot of famous songs and praised by Music Composers as well as the public, but she didn’t gain popularity.
Anuradha Paudwal gained popularity from her song with Manhar Udhas Tu Mera Janu hai in the film Hero. When the song of Film Aashiqui released in an hour those songs became a hit and after that, she had considered the best playback singer. After that, she sang “Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi” and “Sadak” which were released in 1991 and got very successful. Later on, When she reached the top of her career, she decided to sing exclusively for T-Series.
After a wonderful Career in Bollywood, she left it. Later on, she started singing Devotional Song. On the recommendation of a devotional song from her, She had sung a song one day before Navratri, and on release, it went viral. After that, she sang a lot of devotional songs and never looked back again.
